We have been serving the BC Lower Mainland for 29  years. We understand that each patient's needs will be different. At Dr. John Hutchinson's Dental Clinic, we alleviate much of the stress associated with trips to the dentist by treating our patients in a comfortable, gentle, and friendly atmosphere. We are committed to providing excellent  dental care and we pride ourselves on the quality of our dental work.

Our Office Staff

Dr. Hutchinson graduated from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry in 1976 with a DMD.  Following graduation, he opened his own clinic in Richmond where he continues to practice in family dentistry.  Aliza Hutchinson, his wife, is the office manager of the dental clinic and also organizes Dentistry with Heart outreaches.  Together, they share a heart for people and a desire to provide quality dental services to their patients. 

Kathie has been an integral part of Dr. Hutchinson's dental practice for the last 7 years, working as a hygienist.  She has extensive knowledge about dental hygiene and thoroughly cares for her patients.  Kathie is a co-founder of Dentistry with Heart who never misses a trip abroad to help those requiring dental care.  She is also an active volunteer at her church, providing meals for the needy.

M.J. wanted to be a dental assistant ever since she was 13 years old and still has great passion for her job.  She graduated in 1985 as a Certified Dental Assistant, obtaining her diploma from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton.  She has been working for Dr. Hutchinson for 13 years and strives to make everyone's visit a positive experience.  If you are a patient, you will know that M.J. loves to socialize, make people laugh and just have fun!  In her spare time, M.J. is well known for playing in online crib and gin tournaments. 

Patty grew up in Montreal and has been in the dental profession for 27 years, working both as a chairside assistant and receptionist.  She has worked for Dr. Hutchinson for the last 10 years, diligently caring for the needs of patients in her capacity as receptionist.  Patty's interests include her family, skiing, walking her dog, and traveling.  She readily greets patients with her smile and warmth.

Rita is a new hygienist to the office who has extensive experience in the dental profession.

Terri, another one of our friendly receptionists, has over 16 years of experience in the dental profession.  During this time, she has been a chairside assistant and worked at the front desk.  She has worked for Dr. Hutchinson for the past 2.5 years.  When she's not busy greeting patients, she can be found skiing, walking her dog or traveling.  She particularly enjoys spending the summers in Penticton with her mom.   

Kristyn loves her job as a dental assistant.  She graduated from Vancouver Community College in 2002 and has been working for Dr. Hutchinson for 1.5 years.  One of the most memorable and rewarding experiences that she has ever had was her trip to Guatemala with Dentistry with Heart.  Kristyn is a warm person who easily makes patients feel comfortable.  She enjoys being active, spending time with family and friends, and reading a good book.
